Brandi is a powerful voice in a little package. Her vocal talents range from Country to R&B, Pop to Alternative Rock. Brandi began her musical career in 1983 at the ripe age of 10 singing and dancing at numerous oprys throughout North Texas. Duiring her years in the Oprys, she had the privledge of sharing the stage, even singing a duet with the now famous Leann Rimes. In 1991, while continuing to perform at oprys, Mrs. Busby gained notoriety when she became one of the top 12 finalists in the Garland Country Music Association Scholarship contest. After local gigs in clubs around town she joined Vince Vance and The Valiants as Victoria Valiantette for eight years of touring and entertaining. In 1993, Brandi joined the nationally renowned show band, Vince Vance and The Valiants, where she toured extensively across the USA and Internationally as the group's lead Valianette, Victoria. This popular, high-energy musical revue allowed Brandi to shine as a professional singer, dancer and actress. Not only has she shared the stage with well-known celebrities (Huey Lewis, James Brown, Harry Connick, The Four Tops, Chubby Checker and many more), she's performed from the Superdome to the Superbowl and the Waldorf Astoria to the White House. During her eight-year run with Vince Vance, in addition to live performing, she choreographed dance routines and arranged vocal parts and sang on various studio projects, including the albums "Dance, Dance, Dance" and "Tamale Wagon". She also made three appearances on the Dallas television program "Good Morning Texas", singing background vocals on the ..1 Christmas hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You", and was featured on the nationally televised "This is Garth Brooks" concert special in 1993. She could also be seen on the "Travel Channel" that aired a documentary of the bands "life on the road". In 1997, Brandi left Vince Vance and the Valiants to pursue new musical avenues and form her own band, Broadway West. In addition to performing in Broadway West, she also worked as a singer/dancer in the historical Dallas Alley, in Dallas, TX, and again maintained the title of Head Choreographer. She also eventually became one of the DJ's who sat behine the board to spin the hits...pretty awesome for a girl! During this year, Brandi also found time to achieve the position of first runner-up in the 1997 National Karaoke Finals. Brandi was asked if she would like to join the winner to go to the once famous hit show "Star Search" just incase he couldn't make it and she would become the winner...things happened and she was not able to go. September through January of this year, Brandi was singing live every week on a local radio show called "Peter Koschel Presents". By March of 1999, Brandi went back on the road with Vince Vance and the Valiants. In 2001, Brandi joined forces with ex members of Vince Vance and the Valiants to start the hottest new variety dance band in Dallas,TX. called ZuZu Peddals. Brandi Busby's exceptional vocal capabilities and her well-versed dance background combined with her charismatic personality make her a desirable unique performing artist. |
