SCOTT ELLISON is definitely known for being one of the most versatile guitarists on the blues scene today. For many years, Scott toured throughout the US and Canada in support of some of the greatest music legends of all time. Now as a frontman, he continues to tour relentlessly, playing his own style of blues rock to the delight of audiences everywhere.

In 1981, Scott Ellison, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, joined blues great Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown and a short time later worked with Jamie Oldaker and Dick Sims of Eric Clapton's band. Throughout the '80's, Scott played guitar with The Coasters, The Shirrelles, The Box Tops, The Drifters, and Peaches & Herb. The 90's brought him a country/blues hit on the Cashbox Top 100 with "I Never Kiss and Tell". Success also came in the form of a hit tune called "Into the Night", which he wrote for RCA artist Powell Rakes. In 1993, he played guitar behind J.J. Jackson, whose smash hit "It's All Right" later became a hit for Huey Lewis and the News. From 1993 through 1995, Scott toured non-stop throughout North America in support of his "Chains of Love" CD on Quicksilver Records and his "Live at Joey's" CD on Kansas City's Red Hot Records.

Scott Ellison has opened up shows for Leon Russell, the Dixie Dregs, Glen Campbell, Joe Cocker, Blood, Sweat & Tears, the late Roy Orbison, Buddy Guy, Delbert McClinton, Smokin' Joe Kubek, Chris Duarte, Corey Stevens and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. His session history includes an L.A. Lakers promo spot, tracks for ABC's "Eye on L.A.", and the NBC hit soap opera "Santa Barbara". His tune "Down, Down Baby" off his "Live at Joey's" CD was featured on the televison show "Sister, Sister". This same song has been recorded by Jimmy Dawkins on his new Ichiban Records CD, "Me, My Gitar and The Blues", featuring Francine Reed on vocals.

His brand new CD "STEAMIN" on Fishhead Records out of Cleveland, Ohio, is Scott Ellison at his best. Listeners will love songs such as "Big Blue Car", "Cadillac Woman", "Jesus Loves Me", and the title track. "STEAMIN" will be carried by retail outlets across the country and he will be touring from coast to coast supporting it.

"Steamin’", the latest studio production of songs written by Scott Ellison and Terry Lupton (except “Not Fade Away”), combines his unique guitar and vocal style with some of the country’s finest musicians, to generate a musical collection certain to satisfy the need for a refreshingly distinct attitude in rhythm and blues music.The Phil Collins Horn Section is also featured in “Big Blue Car” and “I’m in Trouble.” Rick Schlossier, a well -respected studio drummer from Los Angeles, known for his work with Rod Stewart, Etta James and Lionel Richie, is at his best on Steamin’ with Scott Ellison. After recording and touring with The Steve Miller Band for the past ten years, guitarist Kenny Lee Lewis took time out to put some of his finest work into co-writing with Ellison, You Lit the Fire,”-- a Steamin’ tune. Tom Canning, known for his work with Joe Walsh and Van Morrison, shares his mastery of the organ. William Smitty Smith, former organist for James Taylor and the Neville Brothers, is also among the quality talent selected by Scott Ellison for this recording. Bass guitarist, Armano Compean, known for his work with Little Feat, provides an essential component.Completing the ensemble, is guest back-up vocalist, Linda Jackson, noted for her excellent background vocals on many Los Angeles studio sessions.
